The 117% increase in raised funds is said to recognize the impact education brings to UWGB’s 16-county footprint, which in turn helps fuel the workforce in the Green Bay region.
We were thrilled with the funds raised from Giving Day 2025! It provided opportunities for donors to support UW-Green Bay in many ways. High-impact internships, support for The Weidner and Athletics and scholarship options allowed donors to align their passion with UW-Green Bay’s purpose ensuring all students are future-focused and workforce-ready.

School officials say the $204,900 raised from Giving Day 2025 will go to support need-based scholarships for undergraduate students and will help strengthen academic programs that support the region’s workforce, such as engineering, education and nursing, and student success initiatives and programs like the Campus Cupboard which helps students alleviate hunger and basic necessity needs allowing them to focus on their education.
Of the money raised on Giving Day, $65,000 came from a donation match by the UWGB Council of Trustees, a group of distinguished alumni and professionals helping to guide the university.
