PLYMOUTH, Wis. (WFRV) – No serious injuries were said to be reported after two firefighters were briefly trapped while battling a fire at a machine shop in Wisconsin late Sunday morning.
According to a release from the Plymouth Fire Department, crews responded at 11:16 a.m. to the Millennium Technologies machine shop in Plymouth for reports of visible smoke.

Due to the size of the commercial building and reports of chemicals stored inside, multiple surrounding units were called to the scene to assist. All hazardous materials were said to have been secured without any incident.
At 12:21 p.m., officials say a partial ceiling collapse occurred inside the machine shop, leading to two firefighters being briefly trapped. Both firefighters were quickly found, assisted, and medically evaluated on the scene with no serious injuries being reported.
The Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Team and the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office’s Drone Team were called in to assist with documenting the fire and investigating its cause.

While officially classified as undetermined, authorities say they believe the fire was started by an electrical issue inside the building’s break room area.
No other information is available at this time, and no estimate of total damages has yet been made. An investigation into the fire is ongoing.
