The Latest from Storm Team 5…
Good morning! We are starting off this Sunday fairly quiet with a mix of sun and clouds, but a cold front is moving into NW WI with a line of rain and storms attached to it. No severe weather is in the forecast today, but I am expecting the rain and storms to arrive in two rounds today.
A widespread round one will move in around 8-9 a.m. out west, exiting the lakeshore about 3-4 p.m. At the same time, a few isolated rain and storms will likely flare up in central WI and move in throughout the late PM and early evening. No severe weather is expected, but a few stronger storms producing brief downpours and gusty winds are possible.
Highs today will be a bit cooler then yesterday, in the upper 60s and lower to middle 70s with a mix of sun and clouds. Just keep those eyes on the sky if you are headed to Walleye Weekend Day 3. Tonight, increasing clouds with a stray shower late, lows in the low to middle 50s.
More showers and a few isolated rumbles of thunder are possible on Monday, especially in the morning. Highs will only manage the lower to middle 60s. Two day rain totals will range from 0.25-0.75″, isolated higher.
Much nicer weather arrives Tuesday into Wednesday, with highs in the 70s and eventually pushing 80 mid week.
